At Touch Design, we’re typically half done before we start a new project. That’s because we bring years of experience and significant pre-existing IP (intellectual property) to every project. The learning curves and the supply chain issues are mostly behind us so we can deliver custom modules that integrate with client products faster than others, even in-house staffs.
We also believe in doing projects once. That means no development work will start until a project is well defined and signed off. Without this attention process, projects are doomed to have schedule creep and recycled work.
Our “do-it-once" approach causes design-for-manufacturing and agency certification reviews with corrective action to be done before the first board is built. Reduced board turns, higher quality designs and faster time-to-market are the benefits.
The combination of the experience, pre-existing IP and design planning allows our touchscreen modules to be completed in about 6 months vs the typical 12 to 24 months.
On the software side, Touch Design provides simulator software to permit graphics and navigation development to start at the same time as hardware instead of using the conventional serial approach where hardware is first and graphics follows.
The simulator runs on PCs and gives clients a rich interactive preview of their graphics every step of the way. It allows for meaningful collaboration and early approvals. The outcome is high quality graphics and faster time-to-market.
